Are you aware that a malicious user, using an unauthorized web
site, could be reading files on your computer?
Hackers, finding chinks in Internet
Explorer, can do everything from running their code on your
computer to sending damaging emails from your machine.
Microsoft makes every effort to keep up with these inventive
malcontents, and maintains a list of Critical Updates on their
web site.
Now there is a convenient download that
eliminates all current and previously known security problems
with Internet Explorer. It is the Q321232 Security Update and
it is available at
www.microsoft.com. In the search
bar in the upper left of the Microsoft site, simply type in
Q321232 and a link to the Cumulative Patch for Internet
Explorer will appear. This update applies to I.E. 6.0, I.E.
5.5 Service Packs 1 and 2, and I.E. Service Pack 2 for Windows
2000 and NT.
As the inventiveness of hackers knows no
bounds, it is a good idea to check the Microsoft site from
time to time for additional security updates.
