Watson 2.0 Desktop Search

Have you ever spent hours, perhaps days, on reports and presentations only to learn that 90% of your effort duplicated what another employee had prepared months before? How do you avoid re-inventing the wheel with each new assignment?

A Chicago-based company called Intellext has the answer, a desktop search tool called Watson that can understand the overall gist of what you are working on, paragraph by paragraph, and query your network for similar documents. A sidebar display gives users a preview of information that’s pertinent to their work, and shows useful search results from a variety of sources.

Half or more of what you need for a new assignment may already exist, and with minor modification, serve you well and save significant time. Let Watson find it.

Watson works with popular programs such as Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. It gathers results from files on your PC, data on your corporate server, web and news sites, databases, and company intranets. Imagine the time that can be saved when employees don’t have to recreate the same work over and over again. A free trial download is available from Intellext’s website at www.intellext.com.
