Junior Achievement of Southwestern Pennsylvania has much to be
proud of. Out of 160 chapters in the United States, it is the
8th largest, putting it in league with chapters in New York,
Chicago, and Los Angeles. Each year over 70,000 students in
grades K through 12 receive inspiration, education, and build
relationships with its dedicated volunteers. The message is
simple: that an understanding of free enterprise, business,
and economics is invaluable to improving the quality of life.
Dennis Gilfoyle is the Senior Vice President of the
Southwestern PA chapter. “Like any non-profit organization,”
says Dennis, “we have limited resources and rely heavily on
volunteerism. We’re constantly trying to make ends meet. That
leaves little time for computer problems and a limited budget
to deal with them. One day Debbie Jadlocki of Shiloh Service
came by to meet us. She convinced me to go with Shiloh for
networking and computer maintenance, and I’m glad we did. Our
relationship with Shiloh has been great ever since.”
“Shiloh’s technicians know what they’re doing, and the service
and turnaround time are good. The difference between Shiloh
and other companies is that Shiloh’s people make every effort
to help us over the phone before sending out a technician, and
that saves us time and money.”
Each year over 3000 businessmen, college students, parents,
and retirees take the message of Junior Achievement into
classrooms in Southwestern Pennsylvania and the panhandle of
West Virginia. These days, three on-line efforts enhance their
mission. JA Titan simulates what it is like to run a company.
JA Personal Finance enhances practical life skills, and JA
Junior Benchmarks encourages students to find the value in
their local communities. To learn more about Junior
