Make Text Fit in Your Cell
|
|
Your column widths are exactly where you want them, for ease
of view and effective printing. Unfortunately, the column
headings are cut off or abbreviated beyond reason. Here are
some suggestions to make your text fit as desired.
-
Format the font to a smaller size (using the
tools on the Formatting Toolbar).
-
Click Format, then Cell to display the
dialog box. Click the Alignment tab and work with the Text
Control options to change the alignment of the text display.
Options include Wrap Text (display on more than one line in
the same cell), Shrink to Fit, and Merge Cells.
-
You can also adjust the angle of the text
display using the Orientation control to the right of the
Alignment tab dialog box. This allows columns to be thinner
while providing more room for heading text.
